1. What is GenSafe?
GenSafe is the ONLY patented, portable, and/or permanent storage and protection solution for your portable generator on the market today. GenSafe is veteran owned and proudly built in the USA. GenSafe is designed to be either a quickly assembled temporary enclosure for your generator or erected and remain outside to permanently store your generator. GenSafe will protect your portable generator from weather, tampering, and theft.
2. What makes GenSafe so tough, yet easy to use?
GenSafe is a 120 lbs.,16-gauge, powder-coated steel enclosure that takes only minutes to assemble with no tools needed. The base can be anchored to the ground for increased security. Once the generator is rolled onto the base, GenSafe is assembled piece by piece around the generator. GenSafe is completely locked up from the inside and secured with a single padlock on the Front Access Door. When anchored to the ground, GenSafe is an 800lb portable fortress for your generator. GenSafe is designed to be outside, without fear of corroding.
3. When and where would I use GenSafe?
The short answer is anytime you are using your portable generator. There are two main reasons why one would use a portable generator, natural/man-made disasters, and work/recreation.
Natural/Man-made disasters
The natural events in the world we live in can often be violent. From hurricanes and tornados to earthquakes and blizzards, these phenomena often leave a path of destruction. The destruction often leaves a fractured infrastructure, and the most vulnerable being the power grid. These days when the power goes out, our lives become far more challenging. Often, the power is not only out for a few hours, but for a few days to weeks.
California is dealing with its own power grid difficulties, as rolling black and brownouts are becoming more prevalent and a normal part of life. There is NO fix on the horizon, and the problem will only get worse.
Work/Recreation
On a far lighter note, we use our portable generators in much of our work and leisure lives, from construction sites and food trucks to campsites, racetracks, and tailgating. We like having our power and taking it with us. Wherever you take your generator, you take GenSafe.
4. Is GenSafe necessary, it costs more than my generator.
Again, the short answer is YES.
Crime is on the rise all over the country. Your portable generator is something that is vital for your well-being when the power is out, or when you need to take power with you.
That generator is also extremely vulnerable as sits outside at your home, business, or place of recreation. Do you feel confident leaving one of your most valued investments outside unsecured?
The weather is another issue. Leaving your generator outside unprotected in the elements is not a practical choice. Years of it sitting outside will cause it to fail as it's not designed for that purpose.
If your generator has been tampered with, stolen, or deteriorated from being left out in the weather, you are forced to eventually replace it, putting you right back where you started. There is a generator shortage in the country which is only compounded after major storms. Take the steps to protect your investment now. GenSafe will not break down and if taken care of properly, will protect your generator for years to come.
5. How well will my generator run inside GenSafe?
GenSafe can accommodate over 80% of all generators on the market worldwide, including discontinued models. Because of the vast number of sizes and configurations of generators, we could not build a GenSafe to house them all, while at the same time keeping the integrity of the enclosure in place.
GenSafe is designed to allow the exhaust from the generators to blow straight through the panels, safely expelling the hot exhaust and carbon monoxide. The louvers on GenSafe keep a constant flow of fresh air entering while helping to keep the weather out. Under normal conditions, generators will run as designed due to GenSafe’s ventilation and breathability. However, it is recommended that GenSafe be kept out of the direct sun, on an unpaved surface. WARNING: The surface of GenSafe can get incredibly hot without a generator even running inside. Surfaces can reach temperatures of up to ْ 150 by just being in the sun. Those temperatures can burn the skin! Select your location wisely! WARNING: If you cannot find a suitable location, it might not be safe to use GenSafe in extreme heat and while in the direct sun. Doing so could damage the generator. While using GenSafe, one MUST use common sense!
Your generator will remain dry inside, although GenSafe is not watertight. Because GenSafe slides together, the connections between the Base Panel and the Left & Right Panels will allow some water to enter onto the Base Panel, causing no risk to your generator. Water also escapes out through those same channels. Your generator will be protected from driving rain, blowing snow, and flying debris. GenSafe makes no claim to reduce the noise emitted by the generator. We are in the protection business, not the noise reduction business.
6. Will my portable generator fit inside GenSafe?

7. Payment
We accept all major credit cards, and you securely pay online. Once you place your order, you will instantly receive an order confirmation including the details of your purchase. Rest assured; your confidential information is protected as we do not sell customers mailing addresses or phone numbers.
8. Shipping costs?
We ship GenSafe right to your door for one flat rate of $50.00 throughout the continuous 48 states, using reliable FedEx or UPS Ground service.
- Anywhere else on the planet, additional charges will apply.
- Expedited shipping is also available, at an additional charge.
- Parts and accessories will be charged at the standard ground rate.
- A tracking number will be issued to you once your order has been shipped.
GenSafe has grown significantly these past few years, and we are doing our best to keep up with demand. Unfortunately, like with everything else, many of the delays are out of our control. All orders will be processed as quickly as possible. We apologize in advance for any delays that you may encounter. Every GenSafe shipped is insured. If there are ever any issues with the shipment or damage to the product during shipment, please let us know
9. Warranty?
1-Year Limited Warranty. Our warranty covers issues due to craftsmanship and functionality. It does not cover cosmetics or issues arising from negligence, abuse, or misuse of the product other than its stated purpose. GenSafe will provide replacement parts free of charge provided they are deemed to be defective under normal use. If damaged parts are due to negligence, the warranty will not cover replacements
10. Refunds and Returns.
We accept returns for a refund up to 14 calendar days after delivery of the product, provided it is returned in the original box, undamaged, and in salable condition. You must let us know within 7 days if you intend to return your GenSafe. The customer must get a return authorization from us. Once the return has been authorized, we will send you a return shipping label. Items returned without contacting us will not be refunded. There will be a 20% restocking fee. If your order included expedited shipping or was shipped outside the contiguous 48 states, any additional shipping costs—including return shipping—will be deducted from your refund. Refunds are contingent upon the inspection of item(s) once received. We do not take back any used items for a refund. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs on returns.
